About The Project

Welcome to HealthMed, your comprehensive health companion! This prototyped mobile app was designed to allow patients seamless access to doctors' schedules, medication statuses, nearby pharmacies, and instant lab/test results. With HealthMed at the ready, patient health management has never been easier, ensuring patients have all the information they need and providing doctors remote access to their patients from anywhere Internet/Wireless access is available.

Challenges

During the design process of HealthMed, we encountered several challenges that required innovative solutions. Integrating various health systems and databases to provide real-time doctor schedules and lab/test results required extensive technical expertise and careful consideration, especially with EMRs, data security, and privacy. Additionally, creating a user-friendly interface that accommodates diverse patient demographics while ensuring accessibility for all users posed a significant design challenge. Further, developing a reliable and up-to-date database of pharmacies and medication information resources demanded continuous validation and API integrations. Despite these hurdles, our team was able to design a comprehensive prototype to manage all facets of the patient and doctor journeys.

Solution

For the solutions, we researched and identified numerous API systems able to provide real-time data updates while ensuring data security. Extensive user research guided the creation of an intuitive and inclusive interface. Continuous validation processes maintained accurate medication and pharmacy information. We applied our Master Scope Document (MSD) methodologies to help manage technical complexities, which in the end, produced the HealthMed prototype, an advanced medical CRM mobile app.
